I don’t know about you but there are so many things I do that I shouldn’t.

There are things I say without thinking and things that I do that hurt others and myself.

Why am I like this.

Romans 7:19-24  For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do–this I keep on doing.  Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.  So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.  What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death.

This scripture says it all, I do these things because of sin living in me, I am a wretched woman.

But I have hope because…

Galatians 1:3-5  Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,  who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,  to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gave himself for us, for you and for me. He came to rescue us from the sin within us and the evil around us.

Sometimes this is so hard to fathom, that He would do this for me, the wretched woman that I am.

But he did and now with Jesus we are no longer wretched, but we are redeemed by the blood of the lamb.

I’ve been redeemed
by the blood of the Lamb.
I’ve been redeemed
by the blood of the Lamb,
I’ve been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
saved and sanctified I am.
All my sins are washed away,
I’ve been redeemed.
