Welcome back everyone to our Good Morning Mondays Link Up.
What’s your week been like???
We had a great weekend last weekend at our grandson’s dedication/1st birthday celebrations and it was wonderful to be able to spend time with the extended family. We sure had fun and I enjoy being able to go up and help our daughter with food and getting everything ready. Actually she had most of it done, she is pretty awesome.

We stayed an extra night and came home with some wonderful news. We are going to have another grand baby next year. It is so exciting. I’ve never read anywhere in the Bible that says children aren’t a blessing and ours sure are.

They actually told both sets of parents and brothers and sisters together, then just a couple more phone calls (for those who couldn’t make it due to distance) and everyone was covered. We are so overjoyed and now I am thinking that I must start knitting for the new baby, I have plenty of time but by the time I procrastinate a bit and think about it a bit, I will only have a couple of weeks, so I’m determined to be more organised this time.
This week has been a quiet week and we haven’t quite got back into our total school routine, but I’m planning it for the coming week.
My husband finished his fathers course and graduation will be in October.
We had our monthly rainfall this last week in only 2 days and there has been heaps of flooding in the district. Roads have gone under as the creeks fill and the drains can’t handle all the water. It is really amazing and my husband says that the last time he remembers a spring like this was back in 1983.
Friday night we went to a lecture on End Times Bible Prophecy which was very interesting and amazing really.
We’ve had two sows have piglets this week so now we have about 17 piglets that will be running around shortly. The one sow only just had hers and we couldn’t get close enough to get a clear count. We also have another two cows about to calve so the milk will be flowing.I have heaps of plans to make more cheese and butter and sour cream. My husband is going to get the separator working again so we can get the cream off quicker and easier. I don’t like to make cheese with separated milk but the pigs and chickens don’t mind it. Milk is a great protein source for chickens too.
We have decided to purchase in day old laying hens and meat chickens. We have had success with incubating but not in big enough numbers for what we are after so the chickens are due to arrive next month.
We are also going to be doing another butchery session early next month to get rid of some pigs, we have 9 to deal with. We are going to make sausages and bacon this time and maybe get rid of some roosters that need to go.
Okay enough about us from our sodden end of the earth, onto our link up…
Our top three this week were…

Thank you everyone for linking up and for stopping by and for those of you who leave comments I am so encouraged by your words.
Okay this week is actually school holidays so no music lessons but we won’t be taking a school break this time and I am looking forward to getting a full week in.
There is nothing on at nights this week so we all have every night in, my husband doesn’t have any meetings (at the moment) or anything, wow, that’ll be great.
We are still thinking and working on our upcoming vegetable plot but it is just too wet to do any tractor work on it, so we are waiting for it all to dry up. There is more rain due this week, so we will see what happens.
I am on the last sleeve of my son’s jumper so I am determined to get it finished this week. He is home in a fortnight which is very exciting so I am not going to send it because it will probably arrive just as he is leaving.
What’s on your agenda this week???
Also a reminder to everyone about our monthly link up.This months topic is FAITH and I look forward to hearing from you over there.
Also remember you don’t have to link up, but I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section, so stop over if you get the time.
I have been doing a lot of thinking on next month’s topic but it is all still formulating in my mind, so I’m not quite ready to express what it will be on.
Have a blessed week my friends and may God lead and guide you in your everyday life.

It was my pleasure Jennifer, blessings to you.
Terri, as usual, it’s so nice to hear about life in your part of the world, even your “sogginess.” We had a soggy August which was late for us. We usually get most of our rain in July. It caused way too many mosquitoes for me and have kept me inside some mornings. But we are getting to close to one of our nicest times of the year. Summers are hot, close to 100 F must of the time, but we have a long, often warm fall.
Thanks again for sharing your life with us and for hosting each week. Congratulations on the newest grandbaby who’s on the way. Have a great week in the Lord!
Hey there Donna, it sounds like rain has been on the menu for us all. Our summers can be hot and we definitely have hot periods but we get lovely cool changes and sea breezes even though we are about an hour from the coast. Spring is usually lovely sunny days and cool nights but the wet days have out numbered the sunny ones. My husband is pleased with all the rain as he says it will make a great season and I really don’t mind and now I have new gum boots so I can splash through the puddles with the children. We get mosquitoes too and they can be very bad and I think this coming season will not be good because of all the water lying around, they have started appearing already. Thank you for stopping by each week and blessing me with both your lovely encouraging words and your link up. Have a great weekend and God Bless you and yours.
Thanks so much for featuring my post Terri, hope you are well 🙂
Hey there Gwen, it was my pleasure to feature your post. I have a cold now but overall I am going good. You mustn’t have much time left to go before you give birth. I pray that it will go well and I look forward to hearing about your new addition. God bless you all. xxxx
Congratulations! Another grand baby on the way is a wonderful blessing!
Hi there Elizabeth, it is wonderful news, thank you. We are so excited, I don’t think our son-in-law or daughter really got to tell too many people other than us, both sets of grandparents have been spreading the news with great joy. Too often children are not valued, we hope to have many, many grandchildren, God willing. Hope you are well and that you have a great weekend. Blessings
