WELCOME BACK

to our

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP

Hi there all! and welcome back to our weekly link up. How have you all been?  Has your week been productive???

It’s been a good week in our household this week, we are all tired but I think that might just be the winter weather. This week we saw the first day of spring and we’ve had some sunny weather and the days are lengthening but there is more cool weather and rain coming next week.

We’ve managed to get a good week of school completed this week and are finding our routine again. We had our usual Tuesday night bible study and we are really enjoying that. This week we talked about Abraham and Isaac and all that surrounded that story – fascinating really. It is good also to spend time in prayer for our church family and friends.

Wednesday we went and visited some friends, actually my husband is doing work for them so we went with him for the day. It was so lovely to catch up after not seeing them for a few months. They are the family with the little boy Jotham who has had health issues. These are still continuing and they are facing many tests but he is back home and it’s nice to see him sitting up and enjoying his environment. He is such a cute little boy and such a blessing.

I managed to find time to do some gardening this week and I continued weeding the strawberry bed. The other vegetables are growing well and the garlic is coming through and looks good. Our no 2 son and I even got some beds cleaned out in the aquaponics hot house. We planted rockmelon and watermelon seeds as well and it’ll be interesting to see how they come up.We had our usual pottery lessons this week and although I didn’t go too well on the wheel our no 2 daughter went great and managed to turn up 2 really nice bowls. I worked on some hand crafting and made a plate and this vase. It’s upside down for the week until it dries then I will smooth up the edges and tidy it up a bit before it gets fired for the first time. I’m thinking I’ll make a few of these, because if they work they’ll make nice gifts. Next week I’m going to make a butter dish with a lid so that’ll take a bit of thinking out.  We only have 3 more lessons this term so I’m keen to get a few items made. We will need to go back next term for a little bit to finish off some stuff but I’m not sure if we’ll do the whole term or not.

Friday night we went to a Scripture Union fundraising progressive dinner and that was good fun and we caught up with some friends that we haven’t seen for a while. Saturday was the usual piano lessons and then church again on Sunday. We had a fellowship lunch on Sunday as it was the first Sunday of the month, then we came home and the children lavished dad with love because it was fathers day.

Okay that was our week…

Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up, it is appreciated.

This week is another one at home doing school and work around here. We have bible study, pottery and music lessons and our no 2 son has another dentists appointment (he had one last week).

It’s only another 4 weeks and our no 1 son will be home again and we are all looking forward to that.

Okay my dear friends, I pray that you are all well and I look forward to hearing from you again this week.

Thank you all for your support and may God bless you all.

Keep on keeping on my friends…

Have a great week!!!

  1. Your upside down vase looks like one I purchased several years ago. Mine is painted white and I keep some faux magnolia blossoms in it. I love it! I’m sure people will love a gift like this.
Thank you for the link and have a great week.

    1. Hey there Patti, your vase sounds nice too. Unfortunately mine cracked but I’ve tried another one and I’ll hopefully get to make a few. Thank you for your encouragement each week and for linking up. Have a great weekend. Blessings
