GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #138

WELCOME BACK

to our

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP

Hi there all! and welcome back to our weekly link up. How have you all been?  Has your week been productive???

We’ve had a very cold and wet week here, and the paddocks and garden are full of water. It’s full on mud once you step off the concrete, and it’s this time of year that we remember that we don’t have enough concrete.

There’s been snow on the mountains as well and our no 2 daughter is excited and happy about that because she goes skiing with family this coming week.

So considering the weather, most of our week was spent indoors. We’ve done school and music practice and card making and knitting and lego building  all good things.

On the way to town last week these clouds were just crying out to be photographed. The children thought they looked so interesting. When you see a sky like this you are reminded of God’s amazing creation and design. We had a calf born on the farm this past week and it’s a little bull. He is so cute and with those eyelashes you’d think he was a heifer. He came right up to my husband as he was taking photos, but his mum was close by keeping an eye on things.  Life on the farm means he will be marked and fattened up to eat but he’ll live a nice quiet life until then.We had our usual Tuesday night bible study and this week we talked about Noah and the ark and God’s bow of promise. It’s an amazing part of history and definitely more than just a story.

Pottery was fun again this week and I managed to get another couple of bowls turned up. I’m trying to get enough to re-supply our own cupboard. Some bowls will be for holding nuts and chocolates but my aim is to make pasta/soup bowls.I also got a bit of time to be creative and made these little critters below for our kitchen window sill. This coming week I’d like to make a couple of butter dishes and a artsy vase or two, but we’ll see. I’m also trying to master a cylinder type vase, but it’s eluding me at the moment.Friday afternoon we managed to catch up with our son-in-law, daughter and their children for a little bit. It was so nice to see them all.

Saturday was the usual piano lessons and then I did some baking and helped our no 2 daughter pack for her ski trip.

Alrighty that’s enough about us…

Okay onto our link up…

Thank you everyone for stopping by and sharing your wisdom and ideas with us, it is much appreciated.

This coming week will be a bit quieter with our daughter away but I’m hoping to get some school done with our no 2 son. He might even get to go to work with his dad as well, but it depends on the weather.

We have our bible study on Tuesday night and the usual pottery and music lessons later in the week.

I have been working on a little baby jumper for a friend and then I need to finish the socks I’m working on for our grandson’s 2nd birthday in a couple of weeks. Boy they are growing up fast.

After hearing of the death of a young married couple in a car accident a couple of weeks ago we are reminded that our time here on this earth is fleeting and that we need to stay vigilant in a corrupt world and be reading God’s word so that we are guided in the way He wants us to live.

Thank you all for your support and may God bless you all.

Keep on keeping on my friends…

Have a great week!!!

    1. Hey there Patti, baby animals are cute I agree. I guess the wet weather will set us up for a good spring/summer season, so I really shouldn’t complain. Thanks for stopping by and for your love and encouragement. Have a great weekend. Blessings

  3. I know we Americans are always so amazed when you speak of cold weather things during our summer, but it is refreshing to hear about snow when we’re in the middle of such sweatfests. 🙂 Your bowls are such a grace! I’m impressed. Today is Eclipse Day here so that is what everyone is focused on. What will we do tomorrow when it’s all over and the sky returns to normal? Ha.

    1. Hi Lisa, yes the different seasons in different countries is always amazing, and I enjoy looking at all your winter pics when it is hot here. Seems the eclipse was quite exciting and I hope you enjoyed it, and everything returned to normal. 🙂 Have a great weekend. Blessings
