WELCOME BACK
to our
GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP
Hi there all! and welcome back to our weekly link up. How have you all been? Has your week been productive???
We’ve had an averagely busy week. The children had their piano exams today so we have been busy practicing and memorising the technical work. Monday was a hard day, we were all so tired after a busy weekend, but my awesome husband struggled on and went to work.
I managed to get some dehydrating done this week. Our no 1 daughter gave us some carrots and artichokes, so I grated them up and dried them. They gave us carrots last year and I really liked having them on hand so it’s nice to get some more put away.
I only dehydrated the bigger artichokes and then I’ll plant the smaller ones so that we can get a crop of our own. They are delicious roasted. The garden is growing slowly and it’s been very cold this week. We are already talking about our spring vegetable garden and what we want to plant and where.
My husband is getting ready to put in more fruit tree root stock and he and our no 2 daughter will be attending a grafting day in a few weeks.
We had pottery classes again this week and I managed to turn up 3 bowls and our no 2 daughter did 2 but I forgot to take a picture. This is extremely satisfying and so much fun. After they are turned and dried for a week we then put them on a wheel and trim them. I did this very cautiously because I didn’t want to damage my bowl. Now it waits to be fired and then we glaze them and fire them again. It’s a long process and I can’t wait to see the finished products.
The finger bowls we made the first week had been fired for us and we glazed them this week so they should be ready to take home next week if our teacher gets time to fire them again.
Saturday my husband and our no 2 son went to a class on cutting up sheep. Although we do this twice a year ourselves, it is great to get some hands on experience with the advice from a professional butcher. You are never too old or too young to learn. Our no 2 son had a ball and I’m sure he will be on hand when we do our spring butchery again in October.
As I said, Sunday was piano exam day and it was great that they weren’t until after church. We had a fellowship luncheon at church which is always a good time to get to know people and then they had their exam. All their hard work comes down to this. We will probably know by the end of the next week how they went but it’ll be fine, they were well prepared.
Okay, that’s our news for this week…

Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up, it is such a blessing.
What’s on for you this week?? With exams finished we can take a little break until we get new pieces in the next week or so. The children are excited (and so am I) to be playing (hearing) something different.
Our friend’s son Jotham is now home and has been for over a week and he is doing well. There are still the same issues but he has gotten on top of his pneumonia. Please continue to pray for him and his family as they work through his health issues, please pray for the doctors to have wisdom. Thank you.
We are still working our way through Hebrews at church and then following up with the same scriptures at Bible Study during the week. To say we are challenged weekly on our faith walk is an understatement. We need to have our own relationship and faith in Jesus and that has been the topic of conversation around our house over the past weeks. It is wonderful to hear the children talking about it too, but it is challenging to walk it as well as talk it.
Thank you all for your support and may God bless you all.
Keep on keeping on my friends…
Have a great week!!!
Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

Thank you Marilyn, have a great weekend. Blessings
I’m grateful for a hubby too who gets up and goes to work after a busy weekend. We had a busy night last night, yet at dawn Jeff got up and got with it. Blessed to be surrounded by those with good work ethics! You definitely do your fair share of the work too, Terri. 🙂 A pottery class looks like such fun. Thanks for sharing my post from last week! Have a blessed week.
Hi Lisa, yes I agree our husbands have good work ethics and are a wonderful example to all. Pottery is fun, if you every get to try it have a go. It was my pleasure to feature your post and I pray that you have a great weekend. Blessings
