GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #122

Hi all, welcome back to our Good Morning Mondays Link Up. It’s good to see you here.

Our farm is very productive at the moment with 2 of our sows having piglets this week. One had 15 and the other one 10, so 25 little piggies will be running around the place soon.I was blessed to see one being born and I thought it was dead but it lay there in the sack for a little bit and then it broke free, shook itself off and stood up. When they are up they start to look for mum’s milk and it all on with lots of pushing and shoving.

We also had a meat rabbit give birth but she wasn’t looking after them so now they are nesting under our wood stove. They get fed 3 times a day and I must admit that we are amazed they are still alive. Our no 2 daughter is diligent in her feeding and it must be the way she talks to them that keeps them going. God’s creation is amazing.

Our son-in-law and daughter in Melbourne.

Last weekend we went to Melbourne with our son-in-law and daughter to a family wedding and I thought I’d post a pick of our travelling companions. We had a great time together and they both look great.

On Tuesday we had a friends 50th birthday party and caught up with them again and the grandchildren. Here is our no 2 son and his niece enjoying the afternoon together.I managed to finish the rag rug I was making for the gift and I was really pleased with how it turned out, the colours were lovely.Apart from all our partying and birthing it’s been a normal week. Our no 1 daughter blessed me with a huge bunch of parsley so I dehydrated it and now it’s ready to use. At the moment I am drying more apples as well with cinnamon. The tomatoes are about finished but there are still a few to pick and we are still enjoying eating fresh ones in our salads and sandwiches.

The raised garden beds are still at a standstill but my husband has almost fixed the tractor so hopefully this week he will be able to finish the beds as well. I have ordered some garlic and I’m looking forward to planting that and some other winter vegetables in the coming weeks.

Our no 1 daughter is due to have their baby in a couple of weeks and then it will be the children’s piano Eisteddfod. It’s amazing all the things that are going to happen in the next four weeks, we also have our 2nd granddaughters birthday, so I want to finish her socks and quilt for her.

Okay onto our link up…

Our top three this week were… Friendship is… to Share a Cup of Tea by My Little Old World Slow Cooker Vanilla Coconut Granola (Gluten – Free, Vegan) by strength and sunshineMini Instant Pot Freezer Meal Boot Camp by Lamberts Lately

Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up, I hope you learnt something new and met someone new as well.

Our music teacher was ill this week so we will most likely have catch up lessons this week. Apart from that I’m home all week and I’m looking forward to doing some sewing and knitting and getting the rest of the apples stewed and bottled. I also want to make some bone broth and can it.

I thought about getting a couple of meals in the freezer for when I go to grandbaby sit, so I might do that as well. With our no 1 son away I am still tending to have leftovers so I might pop them in the freezer.

I apologise that I haven’t put up my next post on marriage and again I hope to get it out this week.

We’ve been challenged a lot lately with our need to forgive when we are hurt, forgiveness is imperative. I’m finding that it’s something I have to keep working on and then I need to ask for forgiveness for not forgiving. Life can be a bit of a merry-go-round.

But keep on keeping on my friends…

Have a great week!!!

Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

Blessings my friends xxxx

  2. You are full steam ahead!
Here, the spring flowers are just getting started, and I’m especially enjoying my daffodils right now. We burned the garden and surrounding field last night, so all the kids were thrilled. Everyone was here for supper and an entire batch of brownies somehow . . . disappeared!

    1. Hey Michele, yes we are but it’ll all slow down once winter really sets in. Spring flowers sound just lovely too. It’s amazing how food just disappears but it’s so good when family get together. Blessings to you xxx

  3. All the babies coming into the world! Wait, it’s Spring here and that’s supposed to happen. Isn’t it Fall in your part of the world? Thanks for hosting friend,
    Patti

    1. Hey Patti, yeah I’m not sure about the spring thing. We have them when they come. Some people lamb down in autumn here and spring it just depend on their preference. Blessings xx

  4. 25 piglets! How precious! I can’t imagine the work involved though. ha. I’ll just enjoy through your pictures. 🙂 Glad you had some fun travel time getting to see family and friends. The rag rug is gorgeous!

    1. Hi Lisa, the sows did all the work but once the piglets start to roam around they can be very naughty. We have to look at containing them shortly too. Thank you also for your kind words about the rug, I was really pleased with the colours too. Blessings to you this week. xxx
