GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #155

 WELCOME BACK

to our

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP

Welcome back to the last Good Morning Mondays Link Up for 2017, next time we get together the New Year will be passed and the year begun.

I have decided to take a break until Monday 29th January 2018 and then our weekly link up will return, and I’ll be looking forward to catching up with you all again.

We’ve had a busy week and even our no 2 daughter has stated how quick it has gone. Even with our usual bible study and school finished there was heaps to do.

I met with my friend on Wednesday for our Bible Study and as usual we enjoyed our time together. We are taking a break between Christmas and New Year to spend time with family and she’ll be away as well for a couple of days.

On Thursday evening our no 2 daughter and myself went in to help friends deal with some ducks for Christmas dinner. I actually went to socialise but our daughter went to gut. They did six in all and I spent some time plucking black feathers out with tweezers (whilst I socialised). I’ve decided that if we ever have ducks we will definitely have white feathered ones. Our new hens are over a month old now and they are going really well. They enjoy being on the lawn but it won’t be long before we need to move them to a bigger pen, they are growing so quickly.I made up a couple more home made pots with succulents for friends, the little white one has already been gifted and the other one will go on Christmas Day.Our wonderful no 1 son bought me this lovely outdoor setting for Christmas. I have been wanting a nice table and chairs for our front veranda and we finally found one that wasn’t too expensive. I’ve even got a nice pot of succulents on top and I’m looking forward to many cuppas and chats out there. It’s set up to look over our front yard to the highway and it’s a pleasant, restful view.

It’s been a busy weekend, finishing and wrapping presents and cleaning up outside so that we can eat out there. Christmas Day is meant to be quite cool but we’ll be sheltered out the back. We are having friends over for Christmas dinner and there will be eleven of us. We are really looking forward to it and the children are keen to have their friends here to play.

Boxing Day we will have our family here, and we will enjoy another dinner together. What with family and friends there will be plenty of fellowship over the days coming up, and for us that’s what it’s all about – giving, caring and sharing of all that God has blessed us with.

Due to our dodgy internet I can’t do a top three, we are working on fixing the problem but just haven’t gotten there yet.

Thank you for sharing your posts on our link up and may you be blessed each time you visit.

After Christmas we will be just chilling out before the New Year and tidying up. We don’t have anything really planned and I’m looking forward to doing some knitting and crocheting and catching up on some Bible Study.

Well my friends, I hope and pray that you will all have a blessed Christmas and that God will impact your lives as you come into 2018. May we all endeavour to live for Him every single moment and day of our lives.

Have a great Christmas, New Year and January until we meet up again.

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #154

WELCOME BACK

to our

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP

Hi there all! and welcome back to our weekly link up. How have you all been?

Only a week to go to Christmas, my how the year has gone by. I remember as a child that Christmas holidays always took so long to come around, but not anymore.

Our no 2 son turned 10 this week and was thrilled with his new Lego creation and it only took him 2 days to get it done. He’s really amazing with how he can build these things and he is learning so much. This one is an air operated but it does have instructions for putting a motor on it as well.I met with my friend again this week and we are enjoying our time together getting to know one another and studying Mark. The children had a great time in the playground and we are looking forward to our time again this coming week. My friend is going away after Christmas so we won’t meet until the New Year.

My wonderful husband has been busy at work fixing tractors and headers to keep them running for harvest time. He keeps all his tools in his truck and he does a great job, and he can fix just about anything. We are so blessed to have him working so hard to support us all.

It was the children’s last piano lesson this Saturday and they gave their teacher one of the pots we made with succulents in it. It looked really cute and if the plants die she can use the pot for something else. It’s really a win win situation :-).Our lovely son-in-law, no 1 daughter and family were down over the weekend to help celebrate our son’s birthday. We had a lovely BBQ in the botanical gardens after church on Sunday with family and friends.

I apologise that there is no top 3 this week, once again our internet is rather slow… oh well onward’s and upward’s…

This coming week is sort of busy sort of not, there’s last minute Christmas gifts to make and food to organise.  I meeting my friend again for Bible study and our no 2 son has a dentist appointment.

Christmas will be over two days for us with friends joining us on Christmas day and our son-in-law, daughter and family joining us on Boxing Day. So two feast days for us and lots of fun.

After Christmas it’s planning for New Year and then onto our new school year.

Our minister has been preaching about the Love of God and what that actually means to us. All I can say is wow and it’s convicting.

May you all have a good week, I pray that it won’t be too hectic and that in all the preparations for Christmas we don’t forget what we are really celebrating.

Have a great week!!!

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #153

 WELCOME BACK

to our

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP

Hi everyone, welcome back to our Good Morning Mondays Link Up.

As the weeks get closer to Christmas time seems to speed up and it can become quite hectic. I am thankful that we don’t have a lot of Christmas breakups to attend as it makes life much easier.

In Australia it is the end of the school year and we don’t start back until the end of January so the period over Christmas is our summer holidays, although at the moment summer is hiding.  We like to start school in mid January so that we’ve got some routine before we start our usual music lessons and other classes.

We had our weekly Bible study this week and due to other commitments it was our last one for the year. We had been going through a DVD series on the Reformation and it was so good to hear about the Reformers who gave so much of their lives to the working of presenting the truth of the Bible to the everyday people.

I also met with my friend for our Bible study on Mark and we are enjoying our time together and we are becoming good friends and learning so much from each other. The children had a good time in the park to this week and they enjoy each other’s company as well.

On the farm front the piglets are starting to roam and are often seen out and about. They are so cute but as they get bigger and dig deeper they can be a bit destructive.

My amazing husband and our no 2 son got in and rotary hoed the 2nd raised bed and then they helped me mulch it. It is so good to have this job done. We then planted a couple banana trees and some tomatoes and more zucchinis in the bed.
We also planted some more pumpkins and I’m looking forward to harvest time.

We had our last pottery session for the year and I brought home my honey pot and a few other dishes. I’m so pleased with this but I’m not sure I want to use it in case it gets broken.
Our no 2 daughter brought home a couple of pots as well as this one below which she has just left in the plain terracotta. This would be a great bread basket because you can actually put it in the oven to heat up or it would also look good with succulents in it, but she hasn’t decided yet.We had out local Christmas Carols on Friday night and there were also some games, a puppet show, craft and stories in the gardens for the children before hand. Our no 2 daughter had a great time helping one of the ladies from church with the craft activities and our 2 no son had a great time playing with his friends.

The carols were lovely and it was so nice to sit and sing our lungs out in praise and worship to God.

We’ve had a quieter weekend which has been nice. My husband had work he had to finish on Saturday morning so he took our no 2 son with which he always enjoys, and he is learning so much.

Okay that’s our week, onto our link up…

Our top three this week were…Links, Books, and Things I Love – December 2017 from Lisa Notes….The TRUTH Behind Perfect Facebook Posts… by Taylor-Made-Homestead Best Health and Fitness Gifts for 2017 by Looney For Food

Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up, it is always a blessing for me.

Well my friends this coming week we have no Bible study on Tuesday night but I am still meeting with my friend for our study of Mark. We have no pottery but the children have their last Bible Class for the year on Friday.

We need to see a dentist for our no 2 son so that might be Friday as well if we can get in.

It’s our no 2 son’s birthday this week so that’ll be fun and he is looking forward to it as well. There is a couple from church getting married on the weekend and we have all been invited to the afternoon tea, so that should be nice.

Christian weddings are just wonderful, when a man and woman become one united under God it is a blessing.

Okay my friends have a great week and I look forward to hearing about how you are all going.

This post comes to you hoping that you are well.  Keep on keeping on my friends…

Have a great week!!!

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #152

 WELCOME BACK

to our

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP

Hi there all! and welcome back to our weekly link up. How have you all been?

We’ve had a hot and humid week with thunderstorms and plenty of rain and then later in the week we got cold weather. That’s the joy of living here, it’s never too hot or too cold for too long.

The start of the week was quieter which was nice after a big weekend, but my amazing husband still went to work, even in the hot weather.  It was his birthday on Thursday and I’m so blessed to have him in my life and I really appreciate all that he does for me and our family. It was our no 1 daughter’s birthday on Wednesday too so it was nice that we had spent time together the week before. The next birthday is our no 2 son’s in December and he is turning 10 and is so excited about that.

After it cooled off a bit the children and I got some more work done in the garden. We haven’t quite finished planting everything yet but we’re getting there. The strawberries are going great and we are enjoying the fruits as they ripen.I met with my friend this week to continue our study of Mark. I’m really enjoying it and it’s nice to spend time talking and getting to know each other better. I’m looking forward to deepening this relationship over the coming months. We have been meeting in the park so that the children can play but it was so hot that we met in the church hall. This was much better because we weren’t there long and we had a massive thunderstorm and we were pleased to not be out in it.

We had our second last pottery lesson this week and we are finishing up and glazing our items. We got to bring home a few things this week and the bowl below is one that our daughter made. She did a great job and it’s the perfect size for breakfast or dessert.
I finally got to bring home my butter dish and it looks great. I’m so pleased with it but I’m a bit nervous to use it in case it gets broken. The jug I made will probably be used as a vase, because I’m not sure if we can trust the handle or not, but it’ll be good for that.Friday the children had their singing lessons and Bible class and both of these are almost finished for the year. They are enjoying their singing and they have made some great friends at the other class as well.

It was so cold and wet on Saturday that we didn’t get too much done outside but we finished a few inside jobs instead.

On Sunday we had our last fellowship luncheon for the year and we enjoyed a lovely BBQ and time together. These luncheons are so important for healthy church relationships, it’s so good to take the time to get to know one another.

Okay that’ll do, onto our link up…

Our top three this week were… 26 Devotions Focusing on Christ in the Nativity Alphabet–Behold by Beth Willis MillerHard Questions: Can You, Should You Give Thanks For That? by The Cotton Apron
Is the Devil about to REEL You in? November 23 by Soul Survival

Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up.

This coming week we are going to do our Christmas cards and send them out, we’re also going to start on some Christmas gifts. We have our Tuesday night Bible Study as well and I’m meeting with my friend again to do our Bible study on Mark.

We’ve also got our last pottery session for the year and we won’t be able to bring everything home this week but we’ll have to collect it before Christmas.

I’m not sure yet what’s on next weekend but I know we’ll have piano lessons and then home time.

I’ve started a study with the Koinonia Institute with Chuck Missler and it’s been really good so far. I started on the Old Testament and it’s so amazing to hear of all the different codes that have been placed in the Bible. These codes don’t matter to our daily walk but give God’s word authority and authenticity, it’s just so great.

I hope I can keep up with it, this Old Testament course is 12 weeks and then I want to do the New Testament in the New Year.

I’m excited for next year and we are starting a Book Club at our church for the ladies and I’m blessed to be able to facilitate this group. The first book we are starting on is Fervent which connects with the movie War Room. Interesting times ahead.

So that’s our week for you and I look forward to hearing about how you are all going.

This post comes to you hoping that you are well.  Keep on keeping on my friends…

Have a great week!!!
