The other night I wanted something quick and easy for tea, so I made a special version of nachos.
We had some of those grain chips – not brand name ones, just the ones from Aldi in the cupboard so I thought that I would use these instead of corn chips.
Ingredients:
- mince cooked up with onions and tomatoes
- lettuce – chopped up
- grain chips
- coleslaw (left over from birthday party )
- grated cheese
- sour cream
We put the lettuce on the plates first then added the chips, on top of this went the mince, coleslaw, cheese and sour cream.
Now I know this probably isn’t really nachos, but it was absolutely delicious anyway.
You will find this linked up at some of these great blogs.
Sounds yummy to me! We will take nachos just about any way they are served around here!! Mexican food is one of our favorites. Thanks for sharing!! 🙂
It was absolutely delicious Cheryl, and I am going to make this again. Blessings and thanks for stopping by.
Don’t you just love it when all the left overs come together in a great meal !!! It is fun to use what you have in the pantry and use it to feed the family. Spaghetti/meatballs, garlic bread and home made chunky applesauce with cinnamon was on the menu here. Blessings to you and yours.
Oohh Rebecca your menu sounds great too, nothing like spaghetti and meatballs to feed a hungry crew, and who can go past applesauce and cinnamon, sounds delish. Thanks for stopping by and blessing me with your comment. Have a great day and week. Blessings
It sounds yummy! Sometimes it’s fun to create something interesting with whatever we happen to have on hand.
You are right Rose, thanks for sharing and for your comment. Blessings
Love this. Of course this is real nachos 🙂 . This is how we eat them, except haven’t tried them with grain chips before or the coleslaw–but it looks so good. I’d definitely take a bite!
Blessings,
Thanks for that Deborah, it was really yummy and I was going to serve it again but they only had the chili chips and that wouldn’t suit my crew. Hope all the gardening is going well and to plan and it is so good to hear from you. Blessings
This looks yummy! i love how quick and easy it is, too!
