GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #98

Greetings and welcome back to our next Good Morning Mondays Link Up. This Link Up has been going for 98 weeks, imagine that, so much has happened in those weeks it is amazing.

What have you been up to this past week?? Has it been warm or cold, wet or dry?? Funny how we always start conversations with the weather, seems to be a universal topic.

Well to start off we have had a damp and cold week but by the weekend it was drying up and getting warmer. Our weather this time last year was already far drier and far hotter than what we are experiencing now. The weather reminds me of those many scriptures that tell us to be thankful in all things and I’m sure that means weather as well.

We people are funny, it’s either too hot, too wet, too cold, too dry. When it’s wet we want it dry and when it’s cold we want it hot and so on. Us people on the land are even more difficult as well, seems to me we worry about so many things that we have no control over, we should just throw our worries on God and let Him have control of them. I find this so easy to say but it is hard to do because we like to have control.

I am writing this early this week before we start our butchering session on Friday. I will include some photos as we go along before I put this up on Sunday but just wanted to get it written before then. I am hoping for a couple card nights and lots of talking.

Our son-in-law, daughter and family are coming tonight and then tomorrow the work begins. Cutting, chopping and mincing then on Saturday we will make sausages. We usually do about 80 kg of sausages and even have mince left over just to use normally.

This butchery session will keep us in meat for 6 months and is such a blessing and help to us during that time.

Our no 1 son managed to get a couple of days shearing in this past week and due to wet weather he managed to spend a night with a good friend to catch up with him.

My husband has been busy working and seems to be over most of his bronchitis but is still struggling with his asthma but he is a real trouper and keeps on going.

We were able to have a bit of a date night on Wednesday night and went out for tea. We haven’t done this for ages and it was really nice. After tea we popped around to see Mr and Mrs H. Mr H is really declining fast and seems a former shell of himself. We try and talk normally because we know he prefers that but he struggles to keep up with the conversation now. Please if you can remember them all in your prayers.

We have been discussing raised beds for our veggie patch this year and are hoping to be able to get them completed for the coming season but we’ll see what happens.

On Sunday my husband’s fathers course had their graduation, certificate presentation a fellowship luncheon and a variety concert. It was a great afternoon and we all enjoyed getting together and being thankful for our wonderful husbands and fathers.

Thank you everyone for stopping by, I hope you were blessed by coming here.

Well this coming week we are back into normal, so school and music practice and all that usual stuff. Actually there isn’t anything else on that I know of at the moment and that’s okay, a quiet week will really be great after our busy weekend.

I am being challenged by scriptures that talk about giving our worries to God, giving our cares to Him who created us, resting in His plan and being content where we are.

How is God challenging you??

Also a quick reminder about our monthly link up…wisdom search4This month’s topic is on Forgiveness and I hope to hear from you over there.

Also remember you don’t have to link up, but I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section, so stop over if you get the time.

Our next month topic will be on CONTENTMENT, this will be posted on Wednesday morning.

Have a blessed week my friends and may God lead and guide you in your everyday life.

Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

Blessings to you all xxxx
