Hi everyone, welcome back to Good Morning Mondays.
How has your week been and what have you been up to? I know that summer is coming to an end in the Northern parts of the world and here in the Southern parts we are seeing a touch of spring weather, the 1st September is officially spring.

It’s been fruit tree planting time here and if you haven’t been here before we have already planted 29 trees. We planted apple, peach and nectarine trees early in August and we just went to an orchard that grows old varieties of fruit trees and got three more apples and a couple of peaches. I’m very excited because I was apple to get a Bramley apple tree and I’m looking forward to using those in my cooking.

My husband also managed to get to a grafting course a week ago and he planted out his trees that he grafted this past week.

I have been making cheese this week and after encouragement from our no 1 daughter I made ricotta from the whey left over from making cheddar and feta. It’s a lovely cheese but we eat it all before I get enough to make a baked cheesecake with it.

We’ve been going really well with our school for the last couple of weeks and it is so good to be getting a bit of a routine. We are enjoying our Bible program and we are having some great discussions as we do this.
We’ve been having some beautiful sunshine this past week but it is still very wet around the house and the paddocks. The canola that is being grown around the district is in flower and is just a beautiful sight. I took the picture above on our way to the orchard on Saturday morning when the sun was shining. The mountains in the background are the Grampians.
It’s Fathers Day here in Australia today (Sunday) so we took my husband out for lunch with his parents. We had a lovely time and feel restored for another week.

Our young grandson is turning 1 this coming weekend so we are spending Saturday night and Sunday with our son-in-law, daughter and their family.
He is being dedicated on Sunday so they will be having a lunch at home for friends after the service. This will be good and we are looking forward to seeing them all and catching up with some friends as well.
What have you got on this week????
Also just a reminder about our monthly link up…
This months topic is FAITH and I look forward to hearing from you over there.
Also remember you don’t have to link up, but I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section, so stop over if you get the time.
Have a blessed week my friends and may God lead and guide you in your everyday life.

Hey Dany, sorry I missed getting back to you last week, I really appreciate you stopping by and leaving me encouraging comments. Blessings to you this weekend.
Looks like spring is very close! I envy that–we are slowly working into fall and then (brrr) winter. The canola fields are beautiful–I love seeing them here when they’re blooming! Our area is in corn harvest and soon the beans will be ready in another month or so. It’s the beginning of football (American version) season too.
BTW that cheese looks amazing! We need smelly posts so we can get a whiff! 🙂
Hey there Mrs Abella, I’m sure in a few months and some hot weather and I will be thinking winter is better. Blessings
So often you have pictures of food that are different from what I”m used to – and that look delicious! Always a pleasure to visit here!
Thank you so much Michele for your encouraging words, I enjoy seeing what other people in other countries do too, we can learn so much. Blessings

I’m late saying thank-you for the link-up, as usual it seems, but I do appreciate your hosting each week. That ricotta and plums looks delicious, by the way!
