Welcome again to Good Morning Mondays. I am so enjoying all the posts you link up and feel that I have my own personal library to read all week. I have laughed and cried this week and this is good.
I really don’t know what I have done this week, it has been a bit topsy turvy, with being out a bit, which I really don’t enjoy. I must admit I am a home body and really like just staying at home and doing my thing just here.
We have been attending a bible study every couple weeks on the book of Revelation and it has been very interesting, we have all (the whole family) been enjoying it. It’s amazing how you can study Gods word and new insights just pop out at you. It really is the living Word of God.
Seems that Thanksgiving is coming, and although we don’t celebrate it here in Australia, I think it is a wonderful celebration. We should remember to be thankful at all times though for all the things that God has given us. I have enjoyed reading all about thanksgiving on your blogs.
We have had quite an easy weekend, and it has been restful, hopefully give us the get up and go we need for the coming week. I am trying to finish a quilt for a friend and I am nearly there (finally).
God has reminded me this week about cherishing our children and moderating our language and attitude regarding them. I want to remind us all to be loving but firm with our children. Lets remember that they are a gift from God.
Have a great week everyone and I would love to hear how you celebrate Thanksgiving and what special recipes you share with your family.
Now on to the link party.
Congratulations to our top four posts this week, they were…,
Erika really shared her heart and admitted to an addiction, tough stuff but good stuff, it really spoke to my heart, so thank you Erika.
So let’s get the link up started, please link up any posts that relate to God and christian living – especially encouraging or challenging posts, also recipes, crafts, gardening or homesteading as you call it in America and just plain old country living here in Australia.
May your week be full of God’s blessings.
I know what you mean about being a homebody – me too! I just don’t feel right if I have too many days out. I guess it is to do with routine as well. I like to follow my little routines! Timely reminder about our children – mine are really pushing my buttons at the moment!
You are right about routines, when I get out of whack with mine it is so hard to get them back in line. Yes it seems that children just love pushing the buttons, but I suppose it is how we deal with that pushing that matters. Sometimes I just have to step outside and sit on my front verandah and just breathe. Thanks for your comment and link up. Blessings
Thank you for the link up! I look forward to looking through the posts and participating again in the future!
Thanks Anne for stopping by. Blessings
Just discovered your link-up from Naomi’s Monday Musings. I love how I meet people all over the world on these blog link-ups! Thanks for hosting-it looks like there are some blogs I haven’t read yet on other sites!
Thanks Mary for your comment and for taking the time to visit. I am also enjoying meeting new people and hearing what is on their hearts. I am also realising that it is the same for all of us. Blessings
Thanks for hosting. I am struggling to make sure my tone is firm but loving daily so thanks for this reminder.
Thanks for your comment Jenny and for sharing your heart. Blessings
This year we are celebrating Thanksgiving with my son and daughter-in-law. They are brave enough to be cooking the turkey! Thanksgiving is a fun time of food and family, but it’s also a great time to take a moment and reflect on the many blessings we have. None the least of which is the gracious gift of Jesus, and His precious gift of salvation.
I’m learning more and more what it means to live that salvation out in my faith journey. And learning that it’s so important to focus on gratitude.
GOD BLESS!
Sharon it sounds like you are going to have a great thanksgiving. Thank you for your comment and for taking the time to visit. Blessings.
Hello cute lady! I love stopping by your party each week. Thank you for hosting. Please come and party with us, tonight night at 7 pm. We would really appreciate it. Happy Monday! Lou Lou Girls
Thanks for linking up, blessings.
I’m a homebody, too. I get stressed when I am out of the house too much so I understand how you have felt this week. Praying you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanks so much for giving us a place to share with and encourage one another.
Thanks Heather, I am really enjoying the link up and the encouragement from everyone. I am finally realising that I am normal and everyone seems to be thinking and having the same struggles as me. Thank you for taking the time to link up and comment on my site, I really appreciate it. Blessings
Late have I found this treasure! Thanks for the initiative. Linking up!
It seems that a lot of people are homebodies me included. I will have both of my sons and their girlfriends for Thanksgiving dinner. Honestly the food doesn’t really matter, it’s the time spent together. Blessings!
Thanks Mary you are right about the food, when we have Christmas, it’s all about getting together, talking, sharing and loving each other. Thanks for your comment. Blessings and may God bless you this Thanksgiving.
