Welcome to Good Morning Mondays #5.  I hope you have had a good week, full of God’s love.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for our friend Mr H.  I can report that our prayers were answered and he is doing very well.  By all reports the operation was a success and he came through it with flying colours.  His wife even told us that he was so much better after the operation this time than the last.  He came home today which is great and will spend the next few weeks recuperating at home.  So Praise and thanks to God for His care of our friend.

This past week I have been doing a lot of thinking about respecting and honouring my husband.  It is such an important thing for us to do.  I just want to encourage all of you to remember your words with regards to our husbands.

It is my husbands birthday in a couple of weeks, but I couldn’t resist giving him his birthday present yesterday. It’s a Lego Technic Crane Truck, which I have been paying off for nearly 5 months.  It was a pleasure to give it to him, especially when he had no idea it was coming.  It was great to see him and No 2 son building it together during a wet afternoon yesterday.

Thank you to everyone who linked up this past week.  I try and read all your posts and comment, sometimes I get caught up so I apologise to anyone I didn’t get to.  I am looking forward to seeing what you have for us this week.

Our top three posts from last week were…

So let’s get the link up started, please link up any posts that relate to God and christian living – especially encouraging or challenging posts, also recipes, crafts, gardening or homesteading as you call it in America and just plain old country living here in Australia.

May your week be full of God’s blessings.

  1. Wonderful news about your friend. And happy birthday to your hubby – what a great surprise for him. I too have been doing a lot of thinking about respect and submission lately – it has been a hard battle, but with God’s help, I may be getting there.

    1. Thanks Jayne, it is only with Gods help, we can’t seem to do it on our own. I am not always on line with my respect and submission either, you know I write mainly to encourage myself 🙂 Blessings

  2. Hi there! It’s my first time visiting your blog and linking up with you! I am so happy to hear that you received a praise report for the prayer request…. It sounds like your husband is very excited about his special birthday gift! How special that you planned for such a long time to bless him… He is blessed to have you!
Thank you for hosting the link up! Have a wonderful day 🙂

  3. It is a good thing to re-evaluate my respect to my husband from time to time. It is easy to slip up. My 92 year old dad told me that even at his age he needs to be vigilant in working hard on his marriage as it is easy to slip up. He has been encouraging me to always do special things for my husband (not that I don’t but I do need the reminders for the times when I don’t feel like it 😉 )

  4. Great news about your friend! Isn’t it wonderful that we have the privilege of bringing people to the throne of God in prayer?! I had to chuckle a bit about your husband – we love Lego in our family, too! Wish him a happy pre-birthday!

Thanks for hosting this community. I’m new to it, but I enjoy it very much!

    1. Thanks Sharon, I love the way my husband and younger children sit together to build lego things, they have a great time and it shows the little ones that Dad is interested in them as well, they always have a great time. Blessings

  5. Hello cute lady! I love stopping by your party each week. Thank you for hosting. Please stop by our party that starts tonight at 7 pm. We would really appreciate it.
    Happy Monday! Lou Lou Girls

    1. Sometimes all we hear is bad but when God does answer our prayers we definitely should share. My husband is having a great time building his lego crane (as time permits) I’m so blessed he likes it. Thanks for your comment. Blessings
