GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP
Hi everyone, welcome back to our Good Morning Mondays Link Up.
In Victoria we have just gone back to “normal” time with the end of daylight savings, it’s darker earlier and lighter earlier which is really nice. I like it that we get to eat tea at a reasonable time and it’s much easier to get up in the morning when it is light. This won’t last once winter approaches and then it will be dark at both ends of the day.
We’ve had a good week school wise and it’s been an added bonus that all our usual activities have been put on hold for school holidays.
We had a great weekend with some of our church family here for Easter Sunday lunch. The weather was warm and sunny and the hidden chocolate eggs melted before they could find them all. We really enjoy having people out and getting to know each other over food and the children enjoy having others to run around with.
The summer vegetable garden is coming to an end and we went and got some more brassica seedlings and onions as well. Our onions didn’t go well last year but I’ve learnt now and I’m looking forward to having our own next year. I’m thinking I will dehydrate them and powder them but we’ll just have to see how they go.
The dehydrator has been running non stop this week with tomatoes and I’ve managed to get them all done. I’ve got a huge jar of tomato powder for the coming winter season and the storage space is minimal. I also managed to finish our garlic and that’s powdered as well.
I used some of our beans in a casserole this week and I was amazed at how they came back looking like they were before they were dried, it is just so great and retains all the goodness of the vegetables.
My husband and our no 2 daughter have been busy picking more apples and the season is about finished. I think they’ve got over 100 kgs in bags and we may even be able to get a few more this week if the one apple tree we have our eye on stays loaded.
So I guess the next job is apples and I’ve already started stewing some and using it in cakes and they have been moist and delicious. Half of the apples will be for our no 1 daughter and her family but I’m hoping to get them done for her because they have a few things coming up, but once again we’ll see how we go.
I’ve been working through a Dr C Missler program and we’ve been studying Romans this week. We’ve been having lots of discussions at home on pre-destination and our inheritance and although it doesn’t really matter and only God knows our hearts, it’s been fascinating.
What has God been talking to you about lately?
Okay, onto our link up…
Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up. I see we have some new bloggers and I’d like to welcome you all and thank you for sharing your hearts with us all.
This week we’ve got good friends coming to stay for a night, we haven’t seen them since New Year so it’ll be so good catching up with them.
I’m also blessed this week to be able to be meeting up with my friend and doing our Bible study together. Our no 2 daughter is going to be helping with a Holiday Bible Program, she’ll be doing craft activities with the younger children.
I think we may have piano lessons this coming weekend, but that’ll be confirmed and my husband and our no 1 son are going on a Father’s camp up the bush, so it’s just the younger two and myself on Saturday night.
I’m also hoping to do some work in the vegetable garden and plant some seedlings and tidy up a bit. The weather this coming week is meant to be warm so I may wait and plant later in the week once it cools off.
Well my friends that’s our adventures for you, I’m looking forward to hearing from you all this coming week and if you get a chance have a look at someone else’s post and leave them an encouraging comment.
Have a great week!!!
Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
Blessings my friends xxxx
