WELCOME BACK
to our
GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP
Welcome back everyone to our Good Morning Mondays Link Up.
We’ve had a good week this week and we’re getting back into our routine again for the school year. We have heaps on this term so we’re busy trying to work out when to fit it all in.
We had a trip to Mt Gambier earlier this week to pick up another 100 day old laying hens. We were blessed this time to get 50 Australorp crosses and the usual 50 White Leghorn crosses. We have been trying to get black ones for ages but they seem to be popular because this is the first time it’s happened. We are now interested to see how they perform compared with the white ones.At present they are in the brooder and in a couple weeks they will go out on the lawn and then, before winter they will be out free-ranging around the house, that’s when they really enjoy themselves.
While we were in Mt Gambier the children had a chance to look at a sink hole and enjoy some time in a lovely green park with beautiful trees. It’s only when you take pictures that you realise how quickly they are both growing up.We’ve got a couple of kittens at the moment and they are so cute together. They have no respect of personal space so if we are out having a coffee they are usually crawling all over us or trying to drink the froth off the top of the mugs. They’ll hopefully be good mousers, which is always a blessing on the farm.
I was so excited this week to get our books for our book group at church that is starting in a couple of weeks. I’m not sure how many ladies are joining but at the moment it looks like about 8 and there are ladies that work and can’t join us but would like a book.
Ever since I saw War Room and started reading this book I’ve had a heart to share it with others. Prayer is integral to our Christian walk and prayer in regards to spiritual warfare is the same. We need to recognise who the enemy is and not let him take hold in our lives.
I’m also looking forward to the accountability of my sisters in Christ to keep us on the right track as we pray for our family and friends.
The warmer weather has been integral in getting our vegetables growing and our zucchinis are producing really well. I was given some from a friend as well and missed a couple in the garden so I managed to get these bigger ones dried this week.I really enjoy my dehydrator and I’ve got garlic lined up for this week but I’m waiting for a cooler day for that. I might even run the machine outside so the whole house doesn’t smell like garlic.
My amazing husband has been busy with our no 2 son carting big squares of hay from one of the neighbours. We are laying this out in the vegetable patch so that we can plant into them in the spring. The hay needs the time to break down so that it’s suitable to plant in. This hay is old hay and is not suitable for stock feed any more, but it’s perfect for what we want.
So that was our week, along with all the usual piano and singing lessons, bible studies and church. Our pastor and his family have been on holidays and it’s nice to have them back again and to get back into the routine of the new year.

Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up, it’s been lovely to have you here.
I’m looking forward to this coming week as we are home most of the time. I’m wanting to get into our school work and music practice because the following week is pretty busy.
The friend I meet for our bible study has been away for a couple of weeks and I’m hoping to get together with her this coming week and have a good chat and our study, but that’s still to be finalised.
I’ll hopefully be busy with the produce from the garden, getting it stored up for the winter and I want to prepare for our first book group and get myself organised for that too.
So that’s our coming week for you and I look forward to hearing about how you are all going.
This post comes to you hoping that you are well. Keep on keeping on my friends…
Have a great week!!!

Oh sweet Dany you always bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart, you are such a blessing. It was an honour to feature your post last week. Have a great weekend my friend. Blessings xxxx
I read Fervent and have wanted to do a study with some ladies. Glad you are going to do that! My group started Becoming a Woman of Grace by Cynthia Heald last Sunday and it looks as if it’s going to be terrific for us.
Thanks for sharing your weeks with us!
Hi there Michele, thank you for the encouragement over Fervent. We start this coming week and I’m excited to get into it with the ladies. Your book sounds good too and we are already on the look out for the next one we are going to read. Our Pastor’s wife is reading a book on the Wives of the Reformation and that might be where we go next but I’m going to have a look at yours as well. Blessings to you my friends and thanks xxx
It is nice to get back into a routine after the busyness and changes that go on during holiday seasons when we’re traveling and others are, too. Thanks for hosting. I’m glad this party is part of your routine!
Dear Donna, you are so right, routine and busyness is good after a laid back holiday season. Thanks for stopping by each week you are such a blessing. Have a great weekend.
So I’m reminded that I still have not seen War Room! But I have read Fervent and enjoyed it. I’m sure your group will be greatly inspired by it to pray, pray, pray. Always a great thing.
Hi there Lisa, most of the ladies in our book group haven’t seen War Room, which is the first thing we are going to do – watch the movie. It is a good one and definitely worth seeing if you can. Hope you are well. Blessings
