WELCOME BACK
to our
GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP
Welcome back to you all, to our Good Morning Mondays Link Up. I apologise to you all for not getting back last week. The internet here at the end of the month is terribly slow so I decided to hold off until this week.
January is over and we’re already heading through February, where are the days going.
We had an extended Christmas celebration with friends on Christmas Day and then family on Boxing Day. Suffice to say it was good fun and fellowship with water balloons, water pistols and food. My amazing BBQ’ing husband did a fair bit of this last month and will probably do a bit more before the summer is out.
The vegetable garden is going great, although I would have liked to have more volume of vegetables actually planted but I have learnt a lot. I’m already looking forward to next spring where I can put into action all the new ideas I’ve got.
The zucchinis are now coming off in abundance and we are enjoying them fresh and I’ll be drying some as the month goes on.We had a wonderful day out in early January 4WD’ing with our children. We ventured down to the Otways where we saw what’s left of the 12 Apostles and London Bridge.
Here’s some of us at London’s Bridge, it was really windy and cold which I didn’t mind but the others thought it was a bit much for summer. Our weather here can be so changeable but that’s the beauty of it for me, it’s never hot for too long and we can get a lovely sea breeze overnight to cool things off.
We met up with this other cool bunch for lunch and it was great to see them again and then we enjoyed an afternoon of 4WD’ing that was good fun and challenging at the same time.
The chickens are now over 2 months old and they are going great. They love leaving deposits on our front veranda which is a pain but my husband has now moved them out the front so hopefully they won’t do that again.
Our no 1 son bought me a lovely table and chairs for our front veranda and my husband and I have enjoyed many a breakfast out there but the chickens have stopped that for the time being. I’ve just sent out our no 2 son out to give it all a scrub down so that we can enjoy the area again. I’m so blessed by our children and their willingness to help out around the place.
My husband has been growing potatoes and they are at harvest stage. They are delicious and roast up really well. We are going to leave them in the ground until we need them and will start selling them on our front stall in the next few weeks.
We are so blessed by how God is growing our garden and the raised beds are so good to work with too.
Well I could go on and on about what we’ve been up to but that gives you a small overview and I’m looking forward to hearing how you have been going.

Well with the near year begun so has school and music lessons. We are trying to find a routine at the moment and we’ll get there hopefully this week once all the other programs get started. We have already started piano lessons and singing starts this week.
We are starting a book club this month at our church and I’m excited about facilitating that and developing new and deeper relationships.
This post comes to you hoping that you are well. Keep on keeping on my friends…
Have a great week!!!

Very curious about what you’re going to be reading in your book club . . .
And I’m SO GLAD you’re back here! I’ve missed you — It’s Sunday here in Maine, USA and I’ve missed having this stop as part of my Sunday morning routine.
Hey Michele, it’s so nice to hear from you again and it’s good to be back. We are going to study Fervent and the books arrived this week, so I’m very excited. Have a great weekend. Blessings
Thank you so much for featuring my post about Victorian and Edwardian Christmas gifts! 🙂
Hi Lina, thanks for stopping by and the feature was my pleasure. Have a great weekend and I’m looking forward to what you have this week. Blessings
Good Morning, Terri! It’s so good to see you back. I always enjoy reading about what’s going on down under with our seasonal differences. it makes me look forward to summer. My mom came to live with us just over a year ago and she is a gardener, much more so than me. She already has her seeds ready to go! And it won’t be long. Have a great week!
Hey there Donna, it’s so good to be back. Yes I’ve noticed on IG that all the gardeners over there have been ordering and getting their seed orders for the coming spring. It won’t be long and your mum will be planting. What a blessing to have your mum living with you. Have a great weekend. Blessings
Welcome back to you too. 🙂
I understand about sketchy internet connections as ours is sometimes quite unreliable as well.
Thanks so much Mary, it’s good to be back. Aarrgh internet, it’s a constant battle out here in the “bush”. Actually we are in a black spot and have to use satellite which seems to go very quickly. Well we’ll just have to keep on going and do our best. Have a great weekend my friend. Blessings
