WELCOME BACK
to our
GOOD MORNING MONDAYS LINK UP
Hi there all! and welcome back to our weekly link up. How have you all been? Has your week been productive???
The first half of our week was very quiet with our no 2 daughter away with her older siblings skiing at Falls Creek. They go each year and our daughter goes with her son-in-law’s sister. That sounds confusing but we are blessed with this relationship and the fact that they take our daughter with them. They always have a great time and there was heaps of snow again this year and our daughter is getting quite good on her skis. Unfortunately for our no 1 daughter’s father-in-law, he slipped and broke a bone in his lower leg so he is in plaster for 8 weeks. If you can please pray for quick healing for him.
So it was just the 3 of us at home for 4 days and we really didn’t do much school, but we did heaps of jobs around the farm. My husband and our no 2 son have been working on a new lego creation and I believe this is as good as school. It is amazing how much this young man knows about hydraulics and motors and gears just from building lego with his dad. This is his treat while his sister is away skiing. Next year it will hopefully be his turn to go, so he’s excited about that already. It has been very wet here lately and the ground is very boggy. The raised beds are going well and the onions I thought were dead have perked up and are growing nicely. I have added a few more and there are still a few to plant this week.
The cauliflower in the nft system in the aquaponics has started to head up and that is so exciting. We didn’t know whether this would work so this is a good sign. It will be interesting to see how the head develops. I can just imagine how nice it will taste with cheesy, white sauce.Pottery was fun again on Friday and our no 2 daughter was home to join me. I brought home this little bowl that I’d made a few weeks ago and it looks really nice. I’m really happy with the colour and it is on my window sill in the kitchen with a bar of soap in it – just perfect.
I was trying to turn up a cylinder this week and the three attempts I tried didn’t turn our very well. If they dry and seal I’ll have 2 unique vases and maybe a jug. They might collapse or even crack in the kiln but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Because of the weather the pottery is taking at least 2 weeks to dry out enough to fire and I’ve still got 5 bowls to trim up next week.
I got my plate with the leaves on it painted and glazed and a couple of other little bowls glazed as well. I’m not sure when they will be fired, it could be a couple of weeks yet.
Pottery has been something I have wanted to try for years and I feel very blessed that my husband has agreed to us doing it and that he stays home and looks after our son. I don’t know how long we’ll go for but I’ll cherish the time and enjoy while I can.
Saturday my husband had a men’s conference so the children and I hung around and caught up with some washing and ironing. Our no 2 daughter is still tired so she’s resting up to get back into school next week.

Thank you everyone for stopping by and linking up and sharing with us. I appreciate the fact that you take the time.
What are you up to this coming week??
We are back to school and music practice here. We have the usual bible study on Tuesday night and then pottery and music lessons later in the week.
We’ve got some seed planting to do in the hot house and more out in the garden beds outside.
I ask for your prayers as Australia comes up to a postal vote on same sex marriage. Please pray that people’s hearts will turn back to God and that the vote is “no” so that marriage stays between a man and a woman. This is a major issue in Australia at the moment and it’s so very important that we take a stand, it’s okay to vote “no”.
Okay my dear friends, I pray that you are all well and I look forward to hearing from you again this week.
Thank you all for your support and may God bless you all.
Keep on keeping on my friends…
Have a great week!!!
Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
Blessings my friends xxxx
You will find me linked up at some of these great blogs.
Your little bowl is glorious, but I confess that I spent more time looking at the magnificent Lego creation your son was showing his dad. I miss stepping on Legos on the living room floor. 🙂 It won’t be long until my grandson will be enjoying them!
Hey there Michele, thank you for your kind words, I’m yet to miss standing on lego but I understand where you are coming from 🙂 . They have so much fun building these amazing things together. Oh how lovely to see your grandchildren doing what your children did. Such a blessings. Have a great weekend my friend. xxx
Thank you so much for the party and also for the feature!
Hey Penny, my pleasure, thank you for stopping by and linking up. Have a great weekend. Blessings
Thank you for hosting. I would love for you to party with me at #WonderfulWednesday, #ThursdayFavoriteThings, or #OverTheMoon (Sunday). Enjoy your week!
Hi Marilyn, thanks for stopping by and for the invite, I’ll do my best to remember your link ups. Have a great weekend . Blessings
Will be praying for the vote there! We have slid down that slope in the US and no one listens to the will of God..if you say anything against homosexuality here you are sued and boycotted and all that. Godly people need to continue to stand up for Gods word regardless of where we are!
You are so right Mrs Abella, here in Australia it is the same. If you say anything you are told that you “hate” these people and that’s not it at all. The media campaign is also quite anti God, but we are praying that Christians will stand up and vote and be counted. Have a great weekend dear friend. Blessings
What a nice time the three of you must’ve had together. Sometimes quiet is good. Your pottery is beautiful. That color!
Thanks for hosting my friend.
Patti
Thank you so much Patti for your support and encouragement. We had a great time together but it was nice when our daughter got home too. Have a great weekend. Blessings
Somehow I associate skiing with broken legs. I wonder why. :-/
Your little finished bowl looks nice. Cauliflower with cheese is always good. Yum! There’s something about homegrown too. It just tastes better. Perhaps it’s the freshness of it.
I appreciate you sharing my writing challenge link.
Thanks for hosting the link up.
Hi Mary, yes I’m with you skiing and broken legs does seem to go together. Thank you for all your kind words and for stopping by and linking up each week. Have a great weekend. Blessings
Praying for your daughter’s f-i-l. I injured a knee on the ski slopes years ago and it still bothers me from time to time. Hope you’re having a great week, Terri!
Thank you Lisa for your prayers for the broken bones, you obviously know what it is like. So do I and it isn’t fun is it. I have had a great week, I hope you do too. Blessings
