GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #36

Hi there all and welcome back to another Good Morning Mondays.

What a week it has been and I hope and pray that you all experienced God’s blessings in your life.

We had a quiet start to the week which was good. We had our Revelation Study on Tuesday night and that continues to be so very interesting.

Thursday our children attended another Eisteddfod, this time in Warrnambool. We had such a great time and were able to catch up with some of our friends there.

The children played really well and No 2 daughter got 2 first placings and a Honourable Mention, No 2 son got 1 first and 1 third placing. Their sister and her husband and their children managed to come this time which was wonderful and quite an effort considering the 3 hour drive for them.

Our children also received an Encouragement Award each which goes towards their music tuition. This was such a blessing as we were behind with their fees this year.

Here they are at the piano they performed on.

DSCN0484

After the Eisteddfod we went and visited with friends of ours who homeschool as well, some of their children also competed in the Eisteddfod, so we saw them there as well.

We have known this family for a long time and it is wonderful to see how the older children have grown and all the little ones as well. They have 10 children so with ours and our daughters family it sure was a house full at tea time.

Of course we stayed late because we were having such a good time and I only got to bed at 3 am because I kept talking to our daughter and son-in-law once we got home.

Our daughters family stayed on Friday as well and the men went cutting fire wood and our daughter and I took the children to their music lessons (their teacher was really pleased with them) and then tried to stay awake all day 🙂

Saturday was a catch up day and we slept in and did some jobs around the place and some of our other friends stopped in around afternoon tea time for a cuppa, which was lovely, they even brought afternoon tea.

It is such a blessing to have like minded Christian friends and we are blessed to call both of these families good friends.

We sold another 4 piglets which is wonderful and now we only have 4 little ones left

And now because we had our grandchildren here I have to share some photos. There was lots of kissing and cuddling with them.

These couple of days were pretty full on but wonderful and will live as memories for quite a while.

Now onto our link up.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to link up this past week.  I have decided that if I am behind the eight ball with reading I will read at least one post that you have linked up, so that is why I haven’t commented on them all, and I did have some issues with the computer as well which meant that some comments I left didn’t actually work.

Please keep linking up as I enjoy reading the posts that you all share and feel so blessed with the community of friends I have here. You are all such a blessing.

Our top three posts this week were…

This post has wonderful news that Jakob Cooper is at home now. Also in this post is a prayer request for baby Daxton. Please if you haven’t read this pop over and join us in praying for Jakobs’ continuing healing and baby Daxton and his family.

Wow what a link up, full of wisdom and good ideas. Thanks to you all.

This coming week is a bit quieter here (yay) not that I don’t love having family around, that is always great.

We are home most of the week, and are having a sewing afternoon on Thursday. We haven’t had one for a couple of weeks due to other activities, so it will be wonderful to spend the afternoon together.

That same night my husband has a church meeting so I might go in and visit with Mrs H and see how she is going and coping with all that is happening with her family.

Friday the children have music lessons (changed due to school holidays) so we get to stay home on Saturday and have 3 weeks before their next lesson and then only 2 weeks after that until their exams.

I still have one more sleep suit to make for our friends and I am definitely hoping to finish that early this week.

School of course is a priority and I am starting on a new schedule that I made up, so hopefully that will keep me on line.

We bought some strawberry plants so I want to plant them in the aquaponics along with some carrot seeds and I need to start pruning our roses.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and I am looking forward to hearing how you are all going and what is happening in your lives.

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #35

Well howdy all and welcome back to another Good Morning Mondays. I hope you have all had a good week.

What a week it has been and we have enjoyed time with family and friends.

Monday night my daughter and I cooked for the Gideons. That went very well and I think that they liked the food. I served them a beef and vegetable casserole and a mild chicken curry with rice, then apple crumble and cream for dessert.

It was good and we had leftovers for the next days lunches, which was very handy.

My husband went fishing with Mr H and his son-in-law, they didn’t catch anything other than colds, but I think they had a good time together.

Friday morning the children had a drive in our brigades fire truck with their father, you can tell by their faces it was fun.

DSC_1591

During the winter months each member (who can drive) is rostered to take the truck for runs and to make sure that all the equipment is working properly. This week was my husbands turn. CFA stands for Country Fire Authority.

Our No 2 daughter turned 10 this week and boy she is growing up fast. I don’t know where the time has gone.

Friday night we had some friends over and our son-in-law and daughter and their girls as well. We enjoyed a lovely meal together and the children had a great time as well.

Our daughter is the girl on the right and the one on the left is her sewing buddy.

birthday faith

It is always good to spend time with these families.

Saturday we spent the day with our daughter and her girls as our son-in-law had an appointment in Melbourne. We had a lovely day just taking it easy and chatting. The girls were really tired and slept well in the afternoon, and I must admit I could have gone with them.

Here is our youngest granddaughter. She is really a character and we are developing a great relationship with her.

DSC_1606

This is our oldest granddaughter and she had a lot of fun with her uncle and aunt. They pushed her around in the wheel barrow for ages.

DSC_1600

We had some disappointments this week with our cattle, loosing two calves as they were born, we thankfully had one born fit and healthy

IMG_0755
This is just after she was born

She looks like a little teddy bear when she dried up.

My husband and No 1 son butchered a cow today so we will have a freezer full again in a couple of weeks, the freezer is almost empty.

I have been having lots of internet issues this past week and it just wasn’t going well enough for me to read all the post you linked up, so I apologise again.

I know I have said it before but I will say it again, thank you to you all for taking the time to link up and leave comments. I am really enjoying our new friendships and I love getting to know you all.

I don’t know whether the internet problem is a weather thing or something else, but I hope to be on top of it this coming week, as I really do enjoy reading all the posts.

So onto our link up.

Our top three posts for this week…

Well done ladies and thank you again to everyone else who took the time to link up. If you didn’t get a chance to read these posts, pop over when you can. You will really enjoy them.

This coming week is looking cold and busy again. The children have music exams in about 7 weeks, so we are working hard on their technical work and site reading stuff. This can be very challenging but I think we have plenty of time to get on top of it.

We have our Revelation study on Tuesday night and then our children are doing another Eisteddfod this time in Warrnambool on Thursday morning.

It is good for them to play in front of people and this time they are playing with some other homeschooling friends that live down there. It will be wonderful to catch up with them as we haven’t seen them for ages.

Our son-in-law and daughter and girls are coming this time and then they are staying with us for the night, so we will get to see them again and this is such a blessing.

I only got 1/2 my sewing done this past week, so I need to get more of that finished and I am starting a schedule for doing school and I am trying to be more organised.

Thank you for your prayers for our friends last week, Mrs E didn’t have to have a new stent put in and Mr H is going along okay. God is so good.

I have another request, if you could please pray for Mr G, he had a melanoma removed and has been called back to the surgeon in the morning. Please pray that God will be with him and his family.

I hope you all have a great week and that you will be blessed.

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #34

Welcome back to another Good Morning Mondays. I am looking forward to hearing from you all this week and would love to hear how your week has been.

Ours started off with a whole day at our local Eisteddfod. I know I have been talking about this for a few weeks, well the day finally arrived. The children were all practiced up and ready to go.

We spent the whole trip in talking to both of them about humility and as I have said before these competitions are great for character growth.

It was a big day but the children did really well. No 2 son got one First Place and an Honourable Mention and No 2 daughter got two Firsts Places.

They were thrilled and received medals and a small cash prize as well.DSC_1548

Here they are with their medals. No 2 daughter is wearing the dress I made her and she was really thrilled with it. It turned out very well.

After such a big day out I was really tired for a couple of days but I seem to be on top of it now.

My husband and I were able to go out for tea before our Revelation Bible Study. It was lovely to go out together as we haven’t been able to do that for months.

Saturday we went on a tour of some historical sights and I will put up a post about that hopefully later in the week. We counted it as a history lesson and it was very interesting.

Our No 1 son and our No 1 daughter and her family have gone camping this past weekend so they stopped in on their way and of course it was great to see them. The girls are growing so quickly and are just so cute. We had a lovely lunch together and then they headed off for the Otways which is about an hour and a half drive from here.

It is a long weekend here so they are only getting home on Monday night but from what we’ve heard so far they are having a great time.

Sunday afternoon was lovely, it was cold outside and we were able to have a nice restful afternoon.

Okay onto our link up…

I know that I normally only feature the top three posts but because the top three were all written by the same lady I decided to feature the top six.

Wow there were some great posts linked up this week and it was hard to pick a favourite but Aimee’s post really hit a chord with me.

Thank you to all of you for taking the time to link up and thank you for all your comments, you don’t know how much it blesses me.

I have a couple of prayer requests and I ask that you remember Mr H and his wife and family in your prayers. He has started chemo again and is struggling a bit. Also Mrs E is having a new stent put in her heart this Thursday morning. Please pray that God blesses her and keeps her well so that the operation can go ahead.

I have a bit of a busy week. We are cooking for the Gideons on Monday night and they are coming here which will make it easier.

No 2 daughter is turning 10 this Wednesday and we are having a bit of a party for her on Friday night with a couple of close family friends.

Between that I need to sew a couple of sleep suits for some friends for their son, and some curtains for the boys bedroom, to keep out the cold.

I am so sorry that this has been such a long post but I wanted to show you one more picture.

This is a picture of a paddock that we pass on our way to town and the swans have arrived.

DSC_1550

They say you can tell how high the water is going to get by how high the swans build their nests. I just like looking at them because they are beautiful.

Well that’s all or enough for this week, and I hope you all have a blessed week and that those of you in the Northern Hemisphere are enjoying your summer and those of you in the Southern Hemisphere are keeping warm and cozy.

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #33

Hey there, how’s it going.  It is very cold as I am sitting here writing this. I think this day must be the coldest and dampest day so far and tomorrow is looking the same, but that’s okay because tomorrow is the first day of winter.

Again I wonder where the year is going .

I have had a good week although I have been tired, not too sure why, maybe a big weekend with family last week, has left me worn out, but it was so worth it.

I spent most of the week at home although we did go to our friends place for a sewing afternoon on Thursday. The girls probably only have another session left and they will be finished sewing their quilts. Then it will be the snipping of all the seams to come – they have made raggy quilts.

I managed to finish the dress for our daughter to wear to the Eisteddfod tomorrow and it looks great. I will post a photo next week with their results.

They are both excited, and I think a little nervous, but nerves are okay. We have had discussions about doing their best, and about how it isn’t all about winning and how they should react when they don’t win and that they should be happy when someone else wins and congratulate them. This is such a good character building exercise, and they have fun as well.

DSC_1370[1]

Our piglets have been weaned and we are in the process of selling them. We have sold 13 already and we have 11 left to go.  Here is a picture of them in the wool shed enjoying a warm corner.

DSC_1505

We still have a heap down the paddock to butcher and we are hoping to get this done in a couple of weeks.

Our oldest son turned 20 on Friday so Saturday night we had a special birthday tea with a couple of his friends. They seemed to have a good time and spent most of the night watching DVD’s in our lounge. It is so nice that our son has such lovely Christian young men as friends.

Okay enough about us again.

Thank you to everyone who linked up. I had fun reading all your posts and as usual I laughed and I cried and I learnt some new things.

I hope you all had a chance to stop by and read something new and comment on someone else’s post. This is so encouraging for others.

Well as I have said the Eisteddfod is tomorrow so we will be out all day at that. Then on Tuesday night we have our Revelation Bible Study.

We might fit in another sewing afternoon as well this week as my friend is pretty busy for the rest of the month.

On Saturday afternoon we are going on a bus trip to visit sites in relation to a certain missionary who came to this area 150 years ago. Places we will visit are where he lived, his first churches, cemeteries. We thought that this would be interesting and part of our history studies.

Well I hope that you all have a good week and that you and your family will be blessed.

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #32

Wow, here we are again another Good Morning Mondays. I find it hard to believe that we have been going for 32 weeks now. The year seems to be going so fast, it is almost half over.

Winter is definitely fast approaching and our week has been cold and damp. Even some of the chickens came onto the back veranda to get out of the rain.

DSC_1406

It was good lego playing weather though (after school was done).

DSC_1396

I have had a good week and I was out one afternoon with my husband and children and then again that night to our Revelation Bible Study.

Only my husband and I went this time and we really enjoyed it. We have spent the last few months doing an overall study of the book, now we are digging into the individual verses and chapters.

We didn’t have our sewing day this week, I just had a few things I needed to get done around the place before we went to our Son-in-law and daughters place for the weekend. We will get together this coming week and the girls will almost be finished their quilts. We will have to have a discussion about what we do next.

Our youngest granddaughter turned 1 this week and was dedicated on Sunday morning at church. We then had a bit of a luncheon, party to celebrate.

We headed up to their place after music lessons on Saturday and spent the night and helped get a few things ready. Our daughter and son-in-law had most of it done though, but it’s always great to be together.

DSC_1414Here is the birthday cake that No 2 daughter and I put together, go here if you want to see how we did it.

Here is grandpa with our youngest granddaughter. They had some lovely moments together.DSC_1424Here is our no 1 son and no 1 granddaughter having a cuddle. They get on so well.DSC_1423

Our daughter made the girls matching dresses and they looked just beautiful.

DSC_1440

We had a lovely time together with their family and their church family and some other close friends.

Okay enough about us…

Our link up has been going great and growing each week. Unfortunately I can’t always get them read but please keep linking up because what I do read I really enjoy and I am sure that many others are benefiting from your posts.

Thank you everyone for linking up and taking the time to send me comments. I am so blessed by them and it makes my morning to wake up to them all.

We only have one week left until the Eisteddfod so we will be relaxing on the piano practice a bit and not pushing it so much.  We will have a sewing afternoon on Thursday and I would like to sew my daughter a new dress, but apart from that there isn’t much else on.

Our no 1 son turns 20 this week, so I will cook him something special for tea and a nice dessert.

I hope you all had a good week and that you will be blessed this coming week.

Let us be thankful for all that we have and prayerful for those in times of stress. Let us keep our eyes open to those around us and help out when God leads us too.

Blessings to you all my dear friends. xxx

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #31

Hey there, welcome to another Good Morning Mondays. I hope you all had a great week and are ready for another one.

I was blessed to be able to stay home most of the week with only one trip to the Dentist with my husband and our usual music lessons on Saturday and Church on Sunday.

The local eisteddfod is in two weeks time so the count down is on. The children are getting excited and really enjoy it but it does involve some nerves on the day.

Our No 2 daughter is going skiing this year so we went to Aldi this week and got her ski gear. She is all set up now and is very excited about it. She didn’t know she was going until we went to get her gear. I think this may be all we hear about for the next 12 weeks but thankfully she has a birthday and other events before then to keep her mind off it.

Our older two children have been going skiing each year for about 7 years now and our son-in-law’s sister has offered to take our daughter with her. This is such a lovely offer and we feel quite comfortable with her going and her sister and brother will be there for her as well.

This is a good learning curve for our youngest as he isn’t going. He was a bit disappointed but that’s okay, his time will come.  We will have a good week with him with just the three of us.

I managed to preserve some more apple juice this past week but I didn’t get to can any more mince (ground beef), hopefully this week.

I don’t have any family pictures this week but I wanted to share this one with you.jothamThis is Jotham, he is the son of our good friends. He was 12 months old in February and has just gotten his new glasses. I thought he looked so cute and he is such a blessing. His mum and sister are the ones we have sewing days with so we get to see Jotham a little bit.

Thank you to everyone who linked up this past week. I have had some computer issues so I apologise if you didn’t get my comments.

This week is a bit busier for me, we have our Bible Study on Tuesday night and a sewing afternoon on Thursday.

Our youngest granddaughter is turning one and she is being dedicated on Sunday at their church and then they are having a bit of a party afterwards. This will be fun, so you will get bombarded with photos next week :-).

Mr H has his first chemotherapy session on Tuesday and I ask that you keep him and his wife in your prayers.  He had another port put in last week and it is giving him a bit of pain.

I hope and pray that you all have a great week wherever you are.

Blessings to you all dear friends xxxx

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #30

Hey there, welcome to another Good Morning Mondays. Another week, another lot of activities has passed and we have a new week and new beginnings happening.

I enjoy the beginning of the new week almost as much as I look forward to the weekend.  I look forward to planning what I am going to achieve and the school I am going to get done.  Sometimes I don’t achieve anything I want to, but that’s okay, life isn’t about things but about people.

This past week we had our Revelation Bible Study on Tuesday night. This was a good night and we enjoy getting into God’s word and studying and discussing scriptures.

I bottled some apple juice this week and this was the first time I have done this. We wanted to see what it was like and we were really pleased with the results.  We had it with our Mothers Day lunch mixed with lemonade and it was delicious.  I also managed to can some ground meat which will be great for the colder months.

We had a sewing afternoon this week and because my husband was already there doing some work we went to our friends house for lunch and enjoyed a lovely meal together before getting into sewing. The girls’ quilts are coming along nicely and we might even finish sewing them next time. Then we have to snip them and put them in the dryer to fluff them up.

Here are the girls at their sewing machines, they get on so well and it is a pleasure to see them have such a lovely relationship.

DSC_1368[1]

Saturday morning the children had their music lessons and my   husband had to work, so I took them in, did some shopping and came home.

Here they are sitting at their teachers piano. They had just finished playing their duet and as soon as they finished they both turned to her to see what she thought. Their playing is coming along really well.
DSC_1370[1]

I hope you all had a lovely Mothers Day yesterday.  Here are the cards our youngest two made me, they were so lovely and the stickers were just so cute.  The inside of the cards were filled with words of love.  I am definitely going to keep these in a special place.

DSC_1376[1]

The weather has been quite cold and damp this past week and here is our front yard below. I really enjoy this season and I just love the way the grass greens up and everything looks fresh and damp.

DSC_1374[1]

It isn’t easy for my husband though when he has to work out in the cold so I make sure that the wood stove is going all the time to keep the house warm and inviting when he comes home.

Once again I am sorry, but I didn’t get all the posts read this week. I want to thank you all for linking up and for those of you who comment. I am blessed by the friendships that we are developing and I am always interested in what you are doing and how you live.

I’ve got a quieter week this week and I am looking forward to being home.  Tuesday night we are selling some sheep so I will probably go with my husband to deliver them to the sale yards.

Then we might go and visit our friends Mr and Mrs H.  Mr H had an unfavourable report this past week and again I ask for your prayers for him and his family. He has more cancer spots on his liver and his lymph nodes. He has an amazing attitude and we are so blessed to be able to share this journey with him and his family.

I hope you all have a great week and you are enjoying each moment with your family.

Blessings xxxx

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #29

Hey there, welcome to another Good Morning Mondays. It is great to be back and I am looking forward to seeing what you have to link up this week.

I actually got all the posts read before Sunday this week and I enjoyed them all.

What have I been up to this past week you ask?? (well maybe not, but I will tell).

Yay I got my mending done, that was until Friday when I brought in some washing and noticed a couple of buttons missing, but my husband now has work pants without holes. I have a couple pairs of my sons jeans to mend but I want to see if they fit him still before I make the effort. If not I will use them for patches, or rework them into a skirt for my daughter.

Piano practice is still in full swing and there are only 4 lessons left until the Eisteddfod, and they are both coming along nicely.

We had Mr H and his wife for tea on Thursday night. They were on their way back from having more scans and it was lovely that they could stop in and join us. They don’t have any results yet and are waiting for the specialist to return to work after his wife had a baby.

Mr H could really give us insight into how he feels about eternal life and the fact that he could be there before he planned. It was wonderful to hear him talk to our children about how God has a plan and how he doesn’t fear death and that God has him and all of us in His hands.

Saturday we went to the Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally. This rally is held twice a year and we try to get to both but usually one is all we can manage. If you are a steam buff or love old stuff, this is the place for you.  It is noisy and smelly and sometimes muddy but it is a great time for all.

DSC_1329
This is one of the motors and it actually puffed real smoke rings, they were amazing, but I couldn’t get a photo of them, sorry.

They have a pond and the Geelong Model Boat Club bring handmade powered boats to run on the water and they give children the opportunity to have a go. Of course our younger two were there and were thrilled to be old enough to try.

DSC_1350

I just enjoy sitting and watching everything going on around me, but my favourite would have to be the old milking displays and the separators and butter churns.

DSC_1339

Here is a display of old accordians, there were button, piano and concertinas, and if you hung around long enough they would play them for you.

DSC_1346

A good time was had by all.

DSC_1344

Our Sunday morning bible study has started again and it was nice to get this going and get back into some corporate study.

Now onto our linkup.

We have bible study this Tuesday night, this is our Revelation study that has been on hold over Easter. We are looking forward to it.

We are having a sewing get together this week on Thursday afternoon, which will be great. We haven’t had one for quite a few weeks due to other commitments so it will be wonderful to catch up again with our friends.

Mothers day is on this Sunday so I think we will have my husbands parents to lunch so that we can honour her motherhood.

What have you got on this week?

I hope that you all have a great week and that God blesses you as you live your life committed to Him.

Blessings to you all.

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #28

Here we are another week gone by and we are speeding towards May.  May is such a lovely month, winter is coming and hopefully some rain, the nights are really cooling off and the days can be bright and sunny or blurry with rain, either way they are good.

Welcome back to another Good Morning Mondays Link Up. I hope you have all had a good week and that you will face this week remembering to focus on God first and other stuff second.

I have had a quiet week at home, and didn’t achieve any of the sewing I wanted to do, but we did get all our school work and music practice done.

Our younger two children are playing a duet in the local eisteddfod in 5 weeks and they have worked hard to get the music together. We achieved this and now they are working at perfecting it and listening to each other. It sounds just wonderful and when I work it out I will put it up here for you all to see.

The children picked some more tomatoes and I did notice some more out there today so they will pick them tomorrow but I don’t know how many more we will get, but we will pick them happily.

The were quite a few red ones and a bowl of green ones that I hope will turn red. They look good anyway.DSC_1306We spent some time with our friends Mr and Mrs H this past week, enjoying a quick meal together before the men had a meeting. I then sat with Mrs H and we chatted away for a few hours.

We discussed everything from schooling (she was a teacher) to cooking and recipes. She generously lent me some games that she had made years ago for her class that encourages reading and memory work. The children were excited when we brought the box inside and I am sure they are going to enjoy them this week.

They are going to join us for tea later this week on their way home from Mr H’s specialist appointment. Please remember them in your prayers as they face more testing, and scans.

We have had roaming piglet problems this past week and they seemed to always head for the main road. We had numerous drivers stop in to tell us and we finally managed to corral them all and get them sorted. This did take all of us out there standing in strategic places to stop them getting out.  They are now happy and settled with their mothers and are secure in their pen.

Here they are having a good feed, I just love the way that stack in.

It’s been quite a cold weekend but my husband was able to get some work done on his work vehicle and the children were able to give him a hand, feeding wires etc.

There seems to be a great pleasure that comes from helping Dad out and being with him.

Okay that’s enough, onto the link up.

Thank you to everyone for stopping by and linking up, I really appreciate it and enjoy reading your posts.

This week coming is another quiet one for me and I am determined to get some sewing done and I am going to take some advice from Tracy at Our Simple Homestead and her Step by Step Cleaning Routine to try and keep the house in order. This was a great post and gave some great advice.

I hope you all have a great week and that God really blesses you all. May you be able to focus on Him and give your heart over to Him daily.

GOOD MORNING MONDAYS #27

Here we go again, welcome to another Good Morning Mondays update and link up. I am amazed at how quickly the weeks are passing and we are already half way through April.

As I sit here writing this I am glad that I keep a daily diary because I can’t really remember what I did this past week :-).

My husband had another appointment with the dentist and all is good with his tooth now and he hasn’t any more pain. (Yay).

Our no 2 son was able to spend a morning helping his dad on a job up in (what we call) the bush. He had a great time and loves spending any time he can with his dad. I did warn his father though that he talked a lot, and that was one comment I got when they got home. Phew can he talk.

I suppose the more he talks, the more he asks, the more you tell and the more he learns.

We have been working really hard on their piano this week and their teacher was really pleased. I am amazed how repetition really works.

Friday night we had our granddaughters 2nd birthday tea. It takes us about 2 hours to get there but it was definitely worth it. We all had a great time and she is such a blessing and really cute.

She blew out her candles without too much spit and opened her present with such joy.

We actually arrived just as they were getting out of bed after their afternoon sleep and once she realised who we were she was so excited to see us. It brings such joy to my heart.

My daughter did a great job of cooking us all tea. There was 13 of us and the first dinner we have had like that with the other set of grandparents. There was also a few aunties and two uncles there too.

Here she is in her sparkly dress, her aunty ( our no 2 daughter – 9 years old) helped dress her.

DSC_1269She got a variety of presents and it was just fun watching her open them. Her parents have taught her well and she always opened the cards first, had a look inside, handed them to mum and then opened the present.

DSC_1273Here she is opening her new wheel barrow. She then used it as a rubbish bin and put all the scrap paper in there. She is going to be such a help out in the garden now.

DSC_1268Here is granddad with our youngest granddaughter.  I think it was all a bit overwhelming for her but she enjoyed sitting there and taking it all in. It is her birthday next month, so now she knows how it all goes.

We got home quite late but it was well worth it, we always enjoy getting together and family times are so special.

We then had to get up to go to music lessons but we were able to put them off a couple of hours, which was nice.

So that’s about it for me, now onto our link up.

Thank you ladies for taking the time to link up and thank you to everyone else. You are such a blessing to me.

I think I am home every day this week, which I am really looking forward to. I have some bedroom curtains to make and the children need some new home clothes, jumpers etc. I have everything I need to make these items, now I just need the time.

I am amazed at how God uses the every day to open our eyes to His glory and I am so grateful.

May God bless you all this week as you focus on Him, your family and those in need.

Blessings to you all dear friends.
