Welcome to Good Morning Mondays #4.

What has your week been like?  I must admit that I haven’t been feeling well since we returned from Canberra and I have been struggling with an ear infection.  So off to the doctor I went (which I don’t do often) and I am waiting for the antibiotics to kick in now. The 2 younger children have had colds and coughs as well but all seems to be on the up and up now.

A prayer request – our dear friend Mr H is going in to hospital tomorrow to have a tumor removed from his liver.  He had this operation early in the year but another tumor has been discovered. Thank God that there was a cancellation and the hospital was able to fit him in before January.  We ask that God will bless both him and his wife, and keep him safe through the operation.  We also pray that God will enable the surgeons to get all of the tumor and that he will recover quickly.  If you have time to pray with us we would be very grateful.

Last week we had 44 link ups so thanks to all of you who took the time.  I really enjoyed reading you posts.

Our top 3 links were:

This week I look forward to many more link ups and I would love to have some recipes if you have something special, or something that your family loves to eat feel free to link it up.

Please link up any posts that relate to God and christian living – especially encouraging or challenging posts, also recipes, crafts, gardening or homesteading as you call it in America and just plain old country living here in Australia.

I hope and pray that we all have a blessed week and may God challenge us to reach out to others.

Welcome back to Good Morning Mondays Link Party.  It was so exciting to see you all link up this last week.  I am really enjoying connecting with you all and reading your posts, so thank you all for taking the time and putting in the effort.

We are still in Canberra, having just returned from our nephews baptism and confirmation.  It was such a blessing to hear and see him make a clear and firm declaration to the Lord.  We will continue to pray for him and his faith journey.

We have had an enjoyable time catching up with our extended family and seeing how the children have grown.

Here are some photos of us in Canberra.

We will head home tomorrow (Monday) morning so I am looking forward to catching up with you and reading your posts this week.

I am looking forward to getting home and back into things there, I really enjoy being at home.

Blessings to you all.

Welcome to the 2nd link party.  I was so blessed by all of you who linked up, and for your comments, so thank you very much for taking the time.  I am really looking forward to hearing from you again this week.

We have had a nice weekend, what with piano lessons for the 2 younger children early Saturday morning (who needs a sleep in???) and some groceries and then home for a bit of a rest before doing some more work.

We had a fellowship luncheon after church on Sunday and the church invited another congregation for lunch as part of the “Lutherans Longest Lunch”.  Seems funny to add a name to something so that we have an excuse to get together with other Christians.

I feel this should be part of who we are.  We really enjoy getting people out for a meal and getting to know them.  Maybe it will give us an opportunity to pray for them or for them to pray for us. It is a great way to make friends as well.

We had a phone call from my brother on Sunday afternoon and we have been invited to Canberra for my 13 year old nephews baptism and confirmation.

So we are off on Friday morning for the 10 hour drive (we only do this for special occasions) and will spend a couple days with them before heading home.

So I now only have 4 days to fit in everything I wanted to achieve this week, but that’s ok, I’ll get done what I can.  Being there for family is far more important than any cleaning or schooling I have to do.  We can probably do a road trip homeschool excusion!!

I hope you have a great week and that the Lord leads and guides you and I encourage you to get together with other Christians and fellowship.

Let’s get the party started….

Good Morning, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are ready to start Monday off with a bang.
I had a great weekend with our No 1 daughter and family visiting.  It was great to see them and also to see our 2 beautiful granddaughters who are growing up so quickly.

Grandchildren are just the best blessing in our lives and I thank God for them and pray for them daily and for the ones to come.
